Pay and Benefits

  • Start at $16.50/hour with the opportunity to earn $18/hour after 12 weeks of perfect attendance. If you miss a day this restarts.
  • Receive a $40 monthly travel allowance.
  • Get paid weekly, so your hard work is rewarded promptly.

Job Details

  • Work Locations:
    We serve Hickory and surrounding areas, including Lenoir, Valdese, and Conover. We aim to assign you clients as close to your location as possible, typically within a 5–20 minute drive.
  • Scheduling:
    While most of our work takes place during regular business hours, some evening or weekend shifts may be required to meet client needs.
  • Background Checks:
    A clean background is required for this role. Minor traffic violations, such as speeding tickets, are not an issue.

Additional Information for the Role

1. Pay

  • The starting hourly rate is $16.50/hour with an opportunity to earn $18/hour after 12 weeks of perfect attendance.
  • Paychecks are issued weekly with the pay period ending on Sunday and paydays the following Friday.
  • You receive a $40 monthly travel allowance to help cover fuel and travel expenses.

2. Clocking In and Out

  • Clocking in and out is managed through the Booking Koala app.
  • Clock in when you arrive at the client’s location and clock out when you leave. The app simplifies tracking hours and ensures compliance with North Carolina state requirements for hourly employees.

3. Weekly Hours

  • You can expect 2 to 12 hours per week to start. Hours can/will increase as you establish rapport with clients and do a good job.

4. Cleaning Supplies

  • We provide all cleaning supplies, including vacuums, mops, cloths, and cleaning solutions. Everything.
  • The only exception is a step stool1, which you must provide. We recommend choosing one you feel safe and comfortable using.

5. Schedule and Job Details

  • All schedules, job details, and client information are accessible through the Booking Koala app.
  • Communication with clients before and after cleans is managed by the White Fox Cleaning office, leaving you free to focus on your work.

6. Time Off

  • While flexibility is offered, advance notice is required for any time off to ensure continuity of service for clients.
  • Last-minute cancellations are discouraged, as they can lead to losing clients and negatively impact the business.

7. Appropriate Attire

  • Recommended attire includes scrubs, jeans, or an appropriate t-shirt. Sweatpants are not permitted. Choose comfortable clothing suitable for cleaning tasks.

8. Training and Support

  • New hires will work alongside an experienced cleaner for the initial cleans to familiarize themselves with our cleaning techniques and client preferences.
  • The training period is a time to demonstrate your work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to meeting White Fox Cleaning’s standards.

9. Work Environment

  • Our focus is on commercial spaces such as churches and small offices, which offer a straightforward and rewarding work environment.
  • The nature of the job is independent but supportive, with help available whenever needed.
